Can you get any better than the combination of peanut butter and dark chocolate? I think we will be hard pressed to find a better combo. Adding peanut butter and dark chocolate to brownies seems like a natural step. Check out this Decadent Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate Brownies recipe to indulge your sweet tooth.
First Step – Wet Ingredients
In a medium mixing bowl add melted butter, oil, and sugar. Whisk together until smooth. Next add eggs and vanilla to the bowl and whisk to combine. Now put your whisk away and take out your spatula. The next ingredients need a softer hand.
Add Dry Ingredients
Add flour and cocoa powder to the bowl and gently mix together with a spatula. Once combined, fold in the dark chocolate chips.
Into the Pan
Take out your favorite 9×13 baking pan and prepare it for baking with butter, oil, or cooking spray. Pour your batter into the pan and smooth it out. One magical step left.
Peanut Butter Swirls
Spoon peanut butter into a small Ziploc bag. Cut off one corner of the bag. Pipe 3 lines of peanut butter onto brownies going long ways. Take a butter knife and swirl the peanut butter across the top of the batter.
Time to Bake
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake for 25-30 minutes. To check for doneness, look for center of pan to be set. Brownies have a fudge like consistency, so the toothpick test is not accurate. It will not come out clean even when baking is done.
Time to Eat
Let brownies cool completely before cutting and serving. If you cut them too soon, they will simply fall apart! Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate Brownies are sure to thrill all the peanut butter, chocolate lovers in your life. Happy Cooking!
